I started my career as a designer at a Japanese IT company in 2014. Back then, I was using Photoshop with 640px artboards, and component-based thinking hadn't yet reached the workplace. There were no design systems — changing a single icon in the header meant manually updating every screen. That was just how things were done.

Then came Sketch, XD, evolving smartphone resolutions, multi-device support, Figma's rise, the adoption of design systems, and increasingly complex UI/UX. While tools got better, the workload for designers exploded.

RIO was born to change this. UI, UX, flows, design system handling — RIO takes care of the initial groundwork so designers can focus on final output refinement and decision-making.
